Open Letter to the Swedish Minister of Agriculture: Save Fenix NOW

Dear Minister of Agriculture, (Dear Jordbruksverket Time is running out for Fenix, a healthy, loving American dog who faces euthanasia in just five days. Seized without a warrant from his caretaker by Swedish animal control, Fenix’s case reveals a broken system marked by discrimination, hasty decisions, and a lack of compassion. We demand immediate action to save Fenix and reform Sweden’s animal control practices.Fenix was taken under questionable circumstances. The animal control officer rejected the caretaker’s promise to address minor issues with Fenix’s nails and hair, stating, “I do not believe you.” This caretaker, a person of foreign descent, faced clear bias, dismissed solely because of their background. No dog—Swedish or American—should face death after only 31 days, especially when the caretaker is willing to comply. This is not justice; it’s cruelty. We urge you to act now: return Fenix to his owner or caretaker before it’s too late. Sweden’s animal control system must be reformed to prioritize reuniting pets with their families over punishing minor issues like unregistered status. If my proposal to fix registration policies saves resources, I request a percentage of those savings be used to fund animal welfare programs. With only five days left, we need everyone’s help. Visit https://saveusn.blogspot.com/ to learn more and take action. Do not just like the site—tell someone else. Friend, acquaintance, family, enemies, organization, the Swedish person you know. A different one each day. With only 5 days left, do something.Minister, you have the power to save Fenix and prevent future injustices. Act now to stop this tragedy and fix a system that fails our animals.Sincerely,
